ZA Makali Group (Pty) Ltd is a professional forensic consulting and fraud risk management company established in 2019 by Mr. Zamani Nxumalo.

Originally operating as Makali Forensic Services, the company has evolved into a multidisciplinary professional services firm offering specialised forensic investigations, fraud risk management, investigative accounting, and specialised audit solutions to both public and private sector organisations.

Based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, Makali Group operates nationally and is committed to delivering professional excellence, integrity, independence, and innovative forensic solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

The name “Makali” is derived from Swahili and represents sharpness, precision, and intensity — qualities that define our approach to every assignment.

 Mr Zamani Nxumalo, CFE: the founder and director of Makali Group, possesses extensive expertise in forensic services spanning over twenty years. His notable career includes significant roles within the Directorate of Special Operations (DSO) as a Special Investigator and Forensic Accountant, as well as six years at the National Treasury where he contributed to the development of critical frameworks in fraud risk management.                                  

Our methodology for tackling fraud incorporates an all  en-encompassing framework that emplacing framework that emphasises governance and the systematic assessment risk. We focus on preventing and detecting fraudulent activities while also implementing thorough post-investigation analysis to improve internal controls and mitigate future risk.
